Turcot Project
NATURE OF THE PROJECT

The infrastructure for the Turcot project comprises a series of interchanges and sections of highways located southwest of downtown Montréal. Aside from the Turcot interchange, the complex includes three other interchanges: De La Vérendrye, Angrignon and Montréal-Ouest. Together they connect the raised highway network with the local road system. The project also includes parts of highways 15, 20 and 720.

CHARACTERISTICS

Road and rail work to be done:

  • Rebuilding the Turcot interchange
  • Rebuilding the De La Vérendrye interchange
  • Rebuilding the Angrignon interchange
  • Rebuilding the Montréal-Ouest interchange
  • Rebuilding about 1.5 km of highway 15 between the Turcot interchange and the Atwater exit
  • Rebuilding nearly 5 km of highway 20 between the Turcot interchange and the Montréal-Ouest interchange
  • Rebuilding nearly 3 km of highway 7 between the Turcot interchange and avenue Greene
  • Rebuilding and widening the rail corridor between the Montréal-Ouest and Turcot interchanges
  • Building new connections to the local road system
